Many Thanks!

From Our Hearts wishes to give a BIG thanks for the community support during Breast Cancer Awareness month.  From Our Hearts’ mission is to provide breast cancer screening and treatment to those in the greater Pine Island area who can not afford it. From Our Hearts has served 105 clients in the past 7 months, a 30 % increase from last year. Several fund-raisers were held in September and October to raise money to continue our services. Starting with the Low Key Tiki Redfish Challenge – thanks to Scott and Barb Adams and Jesse Romero, to the 2nd Annual OktoberBreast® at Miceli’s – thanks to Joe and Vinny Miceli and the fabulous artists that created the Painted Tata’s, to Party on the Sandbar – thanks to Jim Frock and Scott Allen of Sandbar Production and the Kayaking Cuties – Bev Young, Lois Goodman, Ginny Smith, Linda Arsenal and Lori Donaldson. Lastly, a HUGE thank you to the FOH Board and volunteers. This group works with passion and integrity to assure the goal of access to early detection and treatment for all.
We are now planning for the 11th Annual Breast Fest, which will be held on Saturday, March 10 at Phillips Park in Pine Island Center. Please consider getting a team together for the walk and mark your calendars to come out and hear some of Pine Island’s favorite bands.
