The 2009 Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show was held January 26th at the Sandy Hook Restaurant. All of the female models were breast cancer survivors and one male breast cancer survivor also modeled. Fashions were supplied by Belk and we are very grateful for their time and effort to help us put the show together.
Thank you to Nicole of the Sandy Hook Restaurant, the community and all that contributed their time to make this event a success. The grand total raised to help local breast cancer charities was:
$4,600.00

Miss Lucy’s House of Holidays in Ft Myers and SunTrust Bank on Pine Island got together to display a fully decorated Christmas tree and sold tickets with the proceeds benefiting From Our Hearts. Michael Robson and his team from Miss Lucy’s House of Holidays located at the Park Shops of Andrea Lane in South Fort Myers continued their tradition of providing fully decorated trees to benefit selected local charities. Each tree is a one-of-a-kind creation and is not duplicated. 100 percent of the proceeds for the sale of the trees benefit the charities. This year’s recipients are Lee Cancer Centers & From Our Hearts, both to benefit breast cancer awareness and research; The SW Florida Ronald McDonald House; Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida; and The Boys and Girls Club.
Michael Robson has become a local holiday icon. His ability to create a complete holiday experience has been long sought after.
Pictured with the Tree is Fran Tagman, FSR SunTrust Bank and FOH Member and Beth Smith SunTrust Pine Island Asst. Branch Manager.
And the Winner is Tom Pollock!

The From Our Hearts Fashion Show 2006 was again a great success and a good time was had by all. It was held at the Sandy Hook Restaurant, November 6th and $6,000.00 was raised for Partners for Breast Cancer Care to help in our quest to help those in the greatest need. A dedicated group of walkers delivered the check to Partners by walking the check from Pine Island to Health Park in South Ft. Myers, a distance of 18 miles. Since Partners shares space with Hope Hospice the walk was used as a medium to raise funds for the organization that had touched many of the walkers at some time in their lives. $5,500.00 was donated to Hope Hospice in addition to Partners at the culmination of the long 18 mile walk. Thank you to all that helped make it such a success.

From Our Hearts was chosen to be the "Charitable Organization of the Month" for October by WINK-FM. WINK-FM put together a group of local and national comedians that performed at the Laugh In Comedy Cafe on Sunday, October 29th. The proceeds from the ticket sales went to From Our Hearts and over $1,000.00 was raised. We would like to thank Liz of the WINK-FM morning show and all the comedians and others that donated their time. A good time was had by all! Follow the link below for pictures.

From Our Hearts recently lost a very good friend in Babby Johnson. Please follow this link to see some images taken during better times that we had with her.

The Fashion Show held at the Sandy Hook Restaurant October 31st, 2005 was a huge success. Worries about Hurricane Wilma dampening the turnout turned out to be unfounded. Those in attendance were treated to a wonderful lunch, some great fashions provided by Anthony's of Fort Myers and chances at some expensive door prizes. Short speeches by Robin Healy of Gulf Coast Hospital and SW Regional Medical Center and Pat Rebsamen of Partners for Breast Cancer Care provided some valuable information everyone should know about Breast Cancer Care.

It started small with a musical get together and art show at Island Hardware in Saint James City and has progressed to a big musical get together and walk to benefit those in need. To see pictures from the original event follow this link to the original Breast Cancer Benefit 2002.
