8th Annual Pine Island Breast Cancer Benefit "BREAST FEST 2009" Grand Total $42,000.00 "Breast Fest 2009", the signature event sponsored by From Our Hearts, dedicated to Julie Matthews, a long time Pine Island resident and board member of From Our Hearts was again very sucessful. The 5k walk brought in $32,000.00 and the grand total was $42,000.00. We cannot thank enough all that helped us. Thank you to the Bands, the Community that donated so generously, the walkers who raised money through donations, the food vendors that kept everyone fed and so many more behind the scenes. We couldn't do it without you! |

was held January 26th at the Sandy Hook Restaurant. All of the female models were breast cancer survivors and one male breast cancer survivor also modeled. Fashions were supplied by Belk and we are very grateful for their time and effort to help us put the show together. Thank you to Nicole of the Sandy Hook Restaurant, the community and all that contributed their time to make this event a success. The 2009 Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show and Luncheon was held November 15th at the Sandy Hook Restaurant and was a smashing success. A good time was had by all and included numerous speakers, fashions by Belk, raffles, silent auctions, innovative retail items and great food.
