The 5th Annual Breast Cancer Benefit "Breast Fest"was a big success!
With a net total of $60,000.00 the 2006 Breast Fest was the biggest to date. The 5K walk contributed substantially to the total with the walkers adding to the total with sponsor money. The team that raised the most was "Pine Island Cove" followed closely by "The Sycamorians" and a team from Plantation called "Team Palm".
As in past years the event would not be possible without the generous help of so many people in the Pine Island, Cape Coral, Ft. Myers and Punta Gorda areas. Thank you to all the musicians that donated their time and talent and to the merchants, restaurants, churches and individuals that without whose help the event would not exist.

People often as why we put so much effort into events such as Breast Fest. While there are many reasons occasionally a touching story comes along that puts it all in perspective. This is one of those stories that touch all of us and lets us know that we are doing the right thing.
An Open Letter from Bonnie Kellen - Survivor

The most enjoyable part of putting on an event such as the Breast Cancer Benefit is giving the money to a worthy cause after it is all over. At our Volunteer Appreciation Gathering we were privileged to be able to present a check for $50,000.00 to Partners for Breast Cancer Care. They are a unique organization that is worthy of as much help that we can give them as they give back a lot more than they are given. We are proud to be associated with such a wonderful organization.
